STORY
From cotton candy beginnings to the courtroom and the classroom.

My Journey
My story isn't about chasing success.
It’s about building significance — one hard-earned lesson at a time.

Early Days: Cotton in the Blood
Cotton candy runs in my blood — at least that's what my dad used to say. He wasn’t wrong.
At 14, I took my first job at Boardwalk and Baseball, slinging midway games under the Florida sun. Back then, I was just a kid learning the ropes, blissfully unaware that I was launching a career built around people, places, and the unpredictable art of keeping them safe.
The amusement park wasn’t just my first job — it was my first classroom. And the lesson was simple: when you're responsible for people's fun, you're also responsible for their safety.

Lessons from the Front Lines
My career hasn’t been linear — more like a rollercoaster.
I went from managing restaurants at Universal Studios, to opening new attractions at SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, to conducting pre-opening inspections for Universal during corporate handoffs.
Along the way, I learned two things fast:
-
Safety isn’t just policy — it’s people’s lives.
-
You’re only as good as your last mistake — and how fast you own it.

Courtroom to the Classroom
I’ve worn a lot of hats — safety consultant, operations leader, academic, expert witness.
I’ve testified in courtrooms from New York to California, helped write industry guidelines, and built degree programs to teach the next generation how to anticipate problems before they become headlines.
The work isn’t glamorous. But if done right, it’s invisible — because the best risks are the ones people never notice.

Significance
Over Success
Personally? I’ve learned that reputation is currency, and trust is everything.
The best lessons didn’t come from textbooks. They came from mentors, tough breaks, and the occasional spectacular failure.
I’ve crashed out from overwork, been humbled by projects that went sideways, and cashed out — only to realize that money fades, but a good name sticks.
Today, whether I'm standing in a lecture hall, a courtroom, or behind a canvas (yes, I’m also a sucker for creating art), the goal is the same:
Teach what matters. Do the right thing. Leave people better than I found them.
Decades in the Field
From front lines to courtrooms to classrooms, I’ve spent decades where risk meets reality — building systems, protecting lives, and teaching the next generation to lead with accountability.
Lifelong Learner
My education mirrors my career — practical, disciplined, and focused on impact. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science; a Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management; and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Industrial Engineering specializing in Human Factors and Safety. I also completed doctoral coursework in Hospitality Education, with a focus on events, tourism, and attractions safety — merging real-world experience with research-driven leadership.

Courtroom Experience
Over the course of my career, I’ve provided expert testimony in courts across 30+ states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and internationally in England.
My experience spans federal, state, and district courts, including the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Washington, the District of Massachusetts, the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Crown Court in Chelmsford, England.
I've testified in Supreme Courts, Superior Courts, Circuit Courts, and Courts of Common Pleas, from New York to California, from South Carolina to Connecticut — and everywhere in between.
Whether in high-profile federal cases or complex state litigation, my focus remains the same: delivering clear, credible, and courtroom-ready insights on risk, operations, and life safety.
